Job Summary:
Manages and supervises engineering and/or architectural employees on assigned projects. Develops plans and specifications for projects and/or renovations to ensure efficient completion of facilities projects.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manages a portfolio of projects, regularly communicates the progress and current status of all projects and related issues, and makes recommendations for process improvements
- Completes assessments, estimates, designs, and specifications for new projects and/or renovations
- Manages and communicates unit goals and objectives, unit operational policies and procedures, and provides training and feedback to ensure safety and compliance
- Leads the development and preparation of reports and/or financial statements. Records progress, status, or other special reports for leadership or external agencies
- May assist in the development and monitoring of the department, unit or program budget and approves department, unit or program expenditures
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
