  • Job Summary:
    Develops budget and policy and provides leadership for the division and university on physical development projects in support of efficient and effective institutional capital facilities planning initiatives. Participates in a leadership role in the development of the biennial capital development plan.
  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Develops and directs plans of one or multiple facilities or projects
    • Serves as a key liaison to internal and external stakeholders to maintain strategic planning relationships that foster capital development objectives
    • Develops, executes, and utilizes strategic planning analysis and research to determine long term institutional needs and develop sustainable solutions
    • Manages implementation of projects defined in the biennial capital budget
    • Facilitates development of long-range physical development plans for the biennial capital budget requests
    • Develops operating policies and procedures to comply with space and facilities planning regulations, best practices, and institutional objectives
    • Develops and audits the program budget
    • Provides input and supervises the preparation of the written project scopes of work and other concept phase documents, guides the preparation of estimates and project budgets, agency representative in consultant selection, and monitors capital projects
    • May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
  • Education:
    Fulfills all requirements as an Architect as outlined by the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services: https://dsps.wi.gov/Pages/Professions/Architect/Default.aspx Required
