    This title should be used chiefly for undergraduate students enrolled at UW-Madison or at another university when the terms of a supporting grant or contract preclude the use of other normally appropriate titles. The title will accurately reflect the nature of the appointment when the assigned responsibilities are performed in a unit other than the unit in which the student is enrolled, and may form part of the student's academic curriculum. Payments made to undergraduate interns are fully taxable as wages, and taxes will be withheld from monthly paychecks.
