  • Job Summary:
    Leads operations and personnel related activities in one or more areas of sponsored programs, grants, contracts, or research administration through the grant life cycle from proposal preparation through closeout. Develops and oversees implementation of operations and strategic planning to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements within a unit. Leads a significant programmatic unit and personnel.
  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Implements research administration operational policies and procedures including financial, administrative, staffing, and compliance
    • May review and approve programmatic transactions spanning the life-cycle of sponsored projects to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
    • Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
    • Serves as the unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups providing organizational information and representing the interests of the unit
    • Executes activities related to proposal submission, contract negotiation, and/or award setup on behalf of a unit
    • Executes activities related to financial compliance, audit, or reporting on behalf of a unit
