Job Summary:
Provides intensive academic support to assigned individual student athletes or groups of student athletes and assists skill development by teaching study skills and promoting skill development within the content areas of the student's courses.

Job Responsibilities:
- Works with students one-on-one and in small groups to assist skill development by teaching study skills and promoting skill development within the content areas of the student's courses
- Assesses and evaluates the student's academic needs to determine the necessity for additional academic support
- May provide additional academic support services in the form of academic advising, monitoring academic performance and class attendance, and monitoring eligibility
- May coordinate the preparation and implementation of individualized academic plans including mentoring, tutoring, study hall, and skill development
- May communicate regularly with coaches and administrators and be available to meet with prospective student athletes and their families on recruiting visits as needed
