Learning and Talent Development is here to support your learning now and moving forward.
In these uncertain times, when your work and world are ever-changing, let us provide some learning resources to help guide you.
As we work together to find our new normal, Learning and Talent Development is developing virtual opportunities for discussion, learning, and connection—until we can be together again, in person. Everything on this page is available to all UW–Madison employees at no charge.
Self-paced courses such as those on LinkedIn Learning or other pre-recorded sessions for personal development are permitted while on furlough. Any live, instructor-led courses or required courses for your position are not permitted while on furlough. If there are any courses required for your position, you are not allowed to complete those courses while on furlough.
COVID-19 is not specific to an ethnicity or race—disease does not discriminate. Racist behaviors or stereotyping are not tolerated at UW–Madison. If you experience harassment or discrimination, students are encouraged to file a bias incident report. Employees may file a complaint with the Office of Compliance.
Connect, Learn, and Grow Series
A new online series, Connect, Learn, and Grow, offers meaningful, timely, and relevant virtual learning opportunities for UW–Madison employees. The series will feature a variety of speakers and topics, with a new episode posted online every Wednesday. Each short and free episode will have opportunities for participants to reflect and share learning gained. Episodes will continue to be available online after they are released.
By engaging in this series, you will:
- Connect with the University of Wisconsin–Madison community.
- Learn new skills and information to help be successful in current and future roles.
- Grow through self-reflection and navigate in this time and place.
